I’m currently on Vacation in Charlotte ,NC. This trip has been eventful so far to say the least. I got into town yesterday ( Friday, February 12 2010). The drive here was ROUGH, it started snowing HARD; there were many points where I couldn’t see the road at all, I just drove REALLY REALLY slow (IE25mph). Also my car is Rear-Wheel drive so that didn’t help. When I finally made it to CLT, after the 6 hour Drive that should only take 3 hours I finally got in the Queen City. Backtracking a little bit, me and my friends decided to come here for Valentine’s Day since we are all single. I came one day early because I have been a little stressed out; gives me a little down time to myself. I wasn’t for sure at first I was gonna come to Charlotte because of my schedule, therefore I never booked a hotel room. All my friends booked 2 months ago at ALOFT – uptown. Much to my dismay I found out ALMOST, all the uptown hotels we
re booked including the one all my friends are staying at!!! I guess Charlotte is the place to be for Valentine’s Day. Well after battling on the phone for about 2 hours I found a few vacancies and ultimately pick Holiday INN – City Center Uptown (my other choices were worse) mainly for its location right by ALOFT and conveniently located to many bars and restaurants. After arriving in Charlotte and finding the Holiday INN, I pulled up & was impressed; The hotel was very appealing to the eye on the outside, I thought to myself so good so far. Got in Checked in, I like my room; I was still
impressed. The only complaint I have is that Valet didn’t stay 24 HR yesterday so when I was ready to go out last night I had to go find my car at 12 am but They (valet) were here this AM so no biggie I guess, I can understand that they probably didn’t have a lot of people to valet their car last night with the amount of snow Charlotte received. The guy that works Valet is super cute I’ma try to get a picture with him to post; oh and BTW pictures will be posted soon after my trip =]] Stay tuned …
